My son and I were part of Mastery for several years, starting back when he was just 2½ years old. I joined the program a couple of years after he did, and from the very beginning, the impact it had on both of us was incredible. Even though we stopped attending when COVID hit — and it has now been four years — the training and discipline we learned are still very much alive in our daily lives. We still take our shoes off at the door, we still use the respect and self-control skills we were taught, and more than ever we find ourselves applying the knowledge and habits that Mastery instilled in us. My daughter started Mastery at age 3. Now approaching age 9 I truly can't imagine who she would be without it. This program has become her whole life. Her confidence soars, she makes the right decisions and does the right thing not only in class, but at home and in school. We love Mastery Johnston!!!!!! I can't believe the growth I have seen in my daughter in just a short time. The instructors are amazing and are a great support system for their students. My son has been enrolled at Mastery in Johnston since October 2025 and it has been a really positive experience. Focus and self control were a real issue at school and at home. We tried other extracurricular activities that didnt work out and someone told us karate could be a good outlet. The reviews for Mastery Johnston were pretty compelling and they definitely live up to the hype. Since joining our son has definitely improved at school and at home with regards to focus and self control. Mr Russo and Mr Z do an amazing job teaching kids important values and working on control and communication. Mr Russo was literally born to be in this role and is teaching these kids to be amazing human beings. Sometimes I feel like I learn something from his classes. If your child struggles with focus, body control, and discipline in general, I couldn't recommend Mastery enough. Thank you to the Mastery team for everything they do!

I underestimated how many benefits my 3 children were getting here at Mastery Smithfield. They are learning skills beyond exercise, beyond sharp movement. They are mastering their mind and emotions. They are learning and proving to themselves that they can in life even when the immediate seems like it doesn't match with the hope-pushing through with practice and perseverance that begins to change to a “You see-you Could!” They are gaining self confidence, self motivation, leadership skills, self awareness, public speaking skills, self discipline and self regulation. It’s priceless to have them in an environment where they have leaders like Miss Sjosted and Mr West to look up to that model this behavior and see in them what they can’t see in themselves! Mr West has the right combination of character, discipline, and fun to keep them engaged while getting more out of them. It has been the best decision to put my three kids here oldest the girl then two boys, 15, 13, and 10 and they bond over this and I bonded with other parents in the process. They gain like minded friends who have the same expectations and goals. If you have children this is where they need to be. Here their body is engaged and challenged but so is there mindset about themselves and others. Again, priceless.

Mastery is teaching our daughter to be a leader, building her confidence, helping her anxiety, teaching her new ways of thinking, giving her a better ability to navigate her emotions and responses to stress. Constant positive affirmation while still teaching accountability. The karate skills she’s learned are fantastic, but the other pieces of what they teach are equally impactful. Signing our daughter up for Mastery, and then moving her up into Legacy Program, were two of the best parenting decisions we’ve ever made. Michaela attended 20 hours of legacy training during February vacation and she was like a different person when I would pick her up. She actually told me after the first class that she was proud of herself for attending instead of vegging out at home. She loved training alongside the staff, she was really inspired. At the end of the week she tested for her instructor level one. She loves helping the younger kids in their classes. I cannot recommend Mastery enough!! Mr West is constantly trying to learn and grow himself so that he can best serve his community and I love this part of Mastery. He tells the kids there is always something to learn and ways to grow and then he shares new ideas and ways of thinking that he’s discovered. It really enforces the growth mindset and eliminates the idea of achieving a certain goal and then coasting. Great program for all ages! Everyone has been supportive throughout the beginning stages which is much appreciated especially as my daughter had a difficult time during the first couple of classes. The instructors are very kind, genuine, and want your child to succeed every time, everyday in and out of the dojo. High fives all around to this dedicated team! Praying for the great progress my daughter has shown with Mastery.

We joined the Mastery Smithfield team around September 2025. Our 5 y.o has soared from this program. His confidence and self-esteem has tripled. He doesn’t shy away and is more proactive in helping others. He really applies the black belt mindset to everything he does within and outside of the dojo. As for the instructors and legacy team, they put everything they have into every class. They will not only learn your child’s name the first time they meet but they will hand in hand help them succeed, grow, and make sure they get everything they can out of class. Of all the activities I drive my grandchildren to, Mastery Martial Arts is by far our favorite. Mr. West is our lead instructor; I would call him magical. He has an amazing ability to teach and motivate kids on all levels. I have a grandchild who is neurodivergent and requires "extra understanding". I have been bringing him to Mr. West for weekly private classes and he has made amazing progress. This past month he actually made it into the group class!!! So proud! That represents so much growth and support. All instructors here are outstanding and all help teach important lessons like what it takes to be a leader. It has been a year since we started... best choice we made!

Review update! Mastery is STILL the BEST! Sawyer is now on 3 years with Mastery. Since his start he has gone from being a "Little Dragon" to part of the Intermediate Leadership Team. I am so impressed every single day how he carries himself now. Before he was shy, hesitant and didn't have a whole lot of confidence. Fast forward and with the Smithfield team becoming part of our lives we have a child who is strong, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. My seven year old son has been attending Mastery in Cumberland for the last three and a half years. He absolutely loves it. They create a great community for the kids and families, and the instructors are amazing. My son has gained confidence, lots of new skills, and has so much fun in his classes each week.

Mastery is truly a life changing experience- for the students and parents alike. We've been with Mastery for over 2 years; in addition to learning martial arts moves, the school focuses on building confidence, respect, and discipline all the while ensuring kids cheer on their classmates. Teachers bring a good balance of accountability and encouragement.

We started at Mastery Martial Arts - Cumberland a little over a month ago. The focus on building confidence, leadership and self-esteem are like nothing I've seen in any other activity that I've signed my children up for. Both Ms. Tellier's are patient when teaching and great communicaters. We've also had a birthday party there last week and the day was declared "the best day ever!" Family that traveled for the party wished they lived closer just so they could join MMA Cumberland.

Mastery is my favorite place! They work so hard to make sure everyone is welcome and gets the help they need. I've been here since I was 8 I'm 15 now, Both Ms. Tellier's work super hard to help me learn to teach and to be an even better black belt!!! ❤️💪

Mastery has been one of the best decisions for our family. My oldest has been taking classes almost 4 years. In that time, I have seen my son go from nervous to speak up, to proudly leading a team during class. The life cycles incorporated in each class bring home the way we teach and expect our sons to emulate in life. We have been bringing our 7 year old here for about a year and the program has been fantastic for him. They teach a lot more than just karate - life skills like focusing, listening, self esteem, being helpful around the house, the importance of practice, and trying new things. It's been incredibly beneficial for our sons confidence. Our daughter just became old enough to join and we signed her up immediately. They are ridiculously good with kids here and I would recommend anyone with interested kids to try the program out. I wish my son listened as well to me as he does to Mr. Pezzillo. :)

Mr. Anderson and his staff is patient, encouraging and truly invested in every child's success. They teach real life skills that go far beyond the mat, and we see that at home every day. Moreover they have so many events throughout the year for the kids. They also hosted a birthday celebration for my son and it was amazingly wonderful. They made him and his friends feel so special, kept them engaged and created a fun, memorable experience he just loved. I see my son growing big with them in the coming years. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend North Attleboro Mastery location to any family looking for a positive, supportive environment.

I cannot express how amazing Mastery is. We joined the North Attleboro location a few weeks ago, and I can already see the difference! This is the 4th martial arts program we've tried and by far the best program over all. It not only teaches martial arts but most importantly life skills and lessons that will help when they're older. Mastery Martial Arts is amazing and has truly changed our lives! The instructors are absolutely wonderful and the environment is so supportive, while also being a space where our little ones can learn and grow in a fun and engaging way.
